1.Case No:-NGR 12/21
Smt Kanaklata Behera of Nayagarh failed a domestic violation case against her husband with an additional allegation of illegal relation between her husband and his sister-in-law. Due to this reason her husband and his family started tortured her after few days of their marriage. The Commission noticed both parties for personal appearance. After four counselling session both parties agreed to started their lives in a new manner leaving the bitter experience of their past.
2.Case No:-GNJ 89/21
Smt Prasanti Naik of Ganjam failed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband Pinaki Naik. She has alleged in her complain that she was leading a peaceful life with her husband after her marriage. But before 2 years i.e. from the year 2017 her husband started selling her goods and belongings for monetary purpose and tortured her severely for which she was taking shelter in her father’s house. After getting the complaint the Commission noticed both the parties for an amicable settlement. On 10.09.2019 the Commission started counselling both the parties and settled the matter amicably.
3.JJP-50/21
The Commission received a complaint from Chinmayee Padhee of Gurudaspur, Dist. Jajpur regarding physical and mental torture by her in-laws towards her and deserted from the in-laws house. After receiving the complaint the Commission noticed both the parties for an amicable settlement. On 22.07.19 the Commission counselled the matter first time and fixed another date to 25.09.2019. On 25.09.2019 both the parties along with their parents were present before the Commission. After thorough counselling both the husband and wife agreed to stay in one roof and submitted their undertaking not to quarrel with each other in future. Parents of both sides also agreed to the compromise held on 25.09.2019.
4.BBS-152/21
Pravati Tarai filed a complaint before the Commission alleging that she and Ananta Tarai loved each other and married in Sidheswar temple. Later on they registered their marriage in the Court of Law. She lead a peaceful life with her husband for a period of one year. There after her husband and other in-laws tortured her on demand of dowry. The Commission noticed both the parties to the Commission. Both the parties along with their well-wishers appeared before the Commission on 18.11.2019. After thorough discussion both the husband and wife agreed to live together and lead a happy conjugal life.
5.KRD-216/21
Smt. Manjulata Sahoo filed a complaint before the Commission that Prasanta Ku. Rath married her in the Jagannath temple. After marriage she came to know that Prasanta Ku. Rath is a married person and he has wife and children. During the last one year Prasanta Ku. Rath is not taking any care of the petitioner. After receiving the complaint the Commission noticed both the parties. On 22.10.19 both the parties appeared before the Commission and made allegation against each other. The O.P. also alleged that Manjulata Sahoo is a married woman and she has husband and children. At last after thorough counselling both the parties are agreed for a compromise and agreed to stay together as they were staying previously.
6.CTC-17/21
Smt. Sasmita Sahoo filed a complaint before this Commission against her husband. She alleged that her husband regularly tortured her severely in a drunken state. Her husband also tried to kill her by pouring Kerosene oil for which she informed her parents in this regard. Her parents took her from the in-laws house by the help of Police.
The Commission noticed both the parties and started counselling. The O.P. stated that her wife is going to her father’s house for delivery purpose but filed a false and fabricated case before the Commission. After thorough counselling now both the parties are staying together and leading a happy conjugal life.
